A.R.E.'s Recent Production Shutdown

Last week, we at A.R.E. were forced to shut down production for several days due to a breakdown of our Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer System (RTO). Within hours of the system shutdown, we had the replacement parts and technicians flown into Ohio to begin repairs. Once the RTO system was back up and running we started production and worked through the weekend to get back up to speed.

Our RTO system (seen below) helps A.R.E. be environmentally friendly. Our production process, which includes fiberglass and paint booths, has the potential to release harmful air emissions. However our RTO system burns these emissions at a 97% rate and gives us the ability to run production 24/7 with no constrictions. A.R.E. was the first truck cap manufacturer to use an emissions cleaning system when we opened our Massillon, Ohio plant in 1995, and we set an EPA benchmark for the fiberglass industry.

We sincerely apologize for any delays or problems our recent shutdown caused, but we continue to stand behind our efforts of being the industry leader in protecting our environment. Now that the system has been repaired, we are taking full advantage of our abilities to run production non-stop and we will be caught up soon.
